When you read the Quran you feel the power of a God Who created the universe over everything even his own messenger.
1- Power of God even over his beloved messenger Muhammad (PBUH): 069.040 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Messenger,
069.041 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe;
069.042 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind.
069.043 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
069.044 And if he had invented false sayings (Muhammad) concerning Us,
069.045 We would certainly have seized him by the right hand,
069.046 Then We would certainly have cut off his life-artery.
069.047 And not one of you could have withheld Us from him.
2- Power of God over the nature, humans and even his angels:
013.012 He it is Who shows you the lightning causing fear and hope and (Who) brings up the heavy cloud.
013.013 And the thunder declares His glory with His praise, and the angels too for awe of Him; and He sends the thunderbolts and smites with them whom He pleases, yet they dispute concerning Allah, and He is mighty in prowess.
3- Power of God over his chosen people:
002.122 O children of Israel, call to mind My favor which I bestowed on you and that I made you excel the nations.
002.123 And be on your guard against a day when no soul shall avail another in the least neither shall any compensation be accepted from it, nor shall intercession profit it, nor shall they be helped.
4- Power of God over Christians:
019.034 Such is Isa (Jesus), son of Marium (Mary); (this is) the saying of truth about which they dispute.
019.035 It beseems not Allah that He should take to Himself a ! son, glory to be Him; when He has decreed a matter He only says to it "Be," and it is.
5- Power of God over the evil-doers and evil disbelievers:
29:40 Each one of them (evil) We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado; some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.
