For a lot of people they do not even care why they are created and what is the great purpose in their life. They live for outmost enjoyments. They are looking for this endrophins that is realeased in our brain and make us happy. They get it from sex, drugs, possession, inflated ego, enjoying the evil deeds and rarely the good ones. It is the life of materialism where oneself is the center of the universe. However, since our materialism crash with one another and as each of us run randomly for his own porpse we clash together we envoy, jealous and hate one another. For sake of western civilization we have to play it in a civilized way. As much we try to appear social but in reality every one is in his own island that called myself.
In order for us to know the purpose of creation we have to listen to the creator thyself. You read these verses from the Quran:
Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." [2:30].
God created us to be his vicegerent on earth and he had the basic trust in us.
«"And I did not create the Jinn and mankind except to worship Me…"» [51:56-58]
The purpose for man’s creation is to worship the Creator. Worshiping is not only through praying but to live a life that he planned to us.
«“O mankind, worship Allah, you have no deity other than Him."» [7:59].
AS the verse states to worship God only not other Gods, persons or materials.
«“[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving."» [67:2]
Since he is the creator he has the right to ask us about our deeds. The closest to his is the best in deeds which you expect from a just God.
«“Say : He is Allah [Who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent."» [112]
The first and most important command of God like the first of the ten commandments is to worship him alone. This is the first thing that unite us. Then comes his commandmants the good deeds and avoiding sins. We unite again in morality and being civilized people both from the outside but more from inside. This is why islam give you this inner peace you are one of God's people that has your trust in him and you feel that he watches and protects you. You feel safe with him and he protects you from serene and in peace and have a great purpose in life to worchip him and enjoy a lexurious eternity. In the western civilization you are running with no fulfilling purpose and feeling anxiety and restless mind and spirit.
